Did you know there are only 300 blue-throated macaws left in the wild? These Bolivian natives are critically endangered due largely to the pet trade. But, thanks to organizations like Bird Endowment, (their site is where the above photo comes from) there are efforts to “save the blues.” 

I’m asking Birblr and all of Tumblr to join me in raising funds for a new nest box for a breeding pair of macaws in Bolivia. This is done through Bird Endowment’s Nido Adoptivo project. By raising $285 ($250 for the nest, the rest for GoFundMe and PayPal fees) we will provide and maintain a nest under “Birblr.” Any extra funds will also be donated to Bird Endowment as soon as money is withdrawn from the GoFundMe. 

Thanks to those who turned out for our Spoop for Birb charity livestream, $165 has already been raised! We’re more than halfway there! Any bit you can give helps. Our birds are such wonderful companions in our homes. We owe to them to do what we can to help their wild cousins. 

Please donate, reblog, and share on social media outlets to raise awareness for the plight of the blue-throated macaw. The bird community (Birblr) is a wonderful, dedicated group of people. I know together we can be a force of good for endangered birds.

god. okay. I wish I could put this under a read more but I’m on my phone.

but my boyfriend admitted he loved me. on our fifth fucking date. that’s….fucking scary? and? I saw it coming kind of but I…honestly can’t return the feelings at all…and I can tell hes thinking in the long term and wants to marry me and have kids and. nope. I can’t do any of that, and will not subject myself to being adored but not being able to return the feelings.
sure he’s fun to hang out with and talk to and the sex rocks but to be honest I can’t bring myself to love or even extremely like? I feel so horrible and shallow but to be honest those cute little flaws are already fucking annoying me and….uughh. this poor boy…I shouldn’t even call him a boy he’s 22 but he’s love stricken and so taken with me and basically fucking worships me and its nice but so uncomfortable at the same time. like i cant be human, almost? in his mind? like ill complain about how im struggling with something and he’ll say no im perfect and thats impossible ughhh. he’s so nice and sweet but I just can’t do it. I can’t lead him on and honestly I don’t have the time to let this bother me too much, I feel so emotionally distant.

oh and ugh not to menyion the fact that he’s so damn shy and quiet and he can’t make decisions for himself on the fly and he’s basically a doormat and I already feel like I’m stepping all over him just by going out ahhhhh

AHHHHHHHHH I’m gonna have to break up with him and it’ll probably be the worst thing in my entire life
